CERAMICS FAIR PROGRAMME

 

Ceramics Market Saturday 12 am – 8 pm, Sunday 10 am – 6 pm

Finnish and foreign potters displaying and selling their own domestic and artistic ceramics.

Fire Sculpture Saturday 9 pm -

Well known Danish ceramist Thyge Thomasen and his workgroup will be building the sculpture before the actual event and the final stage of the firing of the work is timed for the Saturday evening of the ceramics market, when the approximately 1000°C glowing sculpture will be revealed to the public. www.firingsculpture.com

Ceramic Cafe Saturday 12 am – 9 pm, Sunday 10 am – 6 pm

Coffee mugs, donated by the participating potters, can be tested in the Cafe by enjoying coffee from a variety of ceramic mugs.

Ceramic Techniques (exact times at the location)

Displays of different making and firing techniques. For example Raku firing, small fire sculptures etc.
